We hope that you had a good summer holiday and that you are now eager to resume the season as members of I Medici di McGill, under the baton of our Cheffe Veronique Lussier.

Program of the 35th Season
Two Benefit Concerts, all in the Church of St Andrew and St Paul (corner of Sherbrooke and Redpath):

1)    Sunday, December 10, 2023, 16h; MSF Programme in Africa
              S Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No 2, Kyoko Hashimoto, soloist
              R Schumann, 3rd Symphony “Rhenish”
2)    May 2024, The Bell Fund, Cedars Cancer Centre, MUHC
              L v Beethoven: Triple Concerto, Soloists: Members of Trio de l’Ile

Starting Session
We are starting with the activities on Monday, 2023-09-11 at 19h, in the McIntyre Building, Palmer Theatre, 5th floor, at 19h. Please come early to start on time (there is also some preparatory work to be done with the setup, see below)

The program of the evening:
19:00h – 19:30h: Annual General Meeting (AGM) (Palmer Theatre)
19:45h – 21:00h: Rehearsal (3rd floor space)
              Rehearsing: Schumann Symphony 3, movements 4 and 5
All members should bring a hard copy of their sheet music – printed from the collection in our Dropbox (see later)

Stage Managers – please set up the space for the rehearsal on the 3rd floor - before the start of the AGM.
21:00h – 21:50h: Potluck Party – Get together (5th floor Cafeteria)
The Social Committee is organising a post-rehearsal potluck! Members are encouraged to contribute to the event; you can let them know what you are bringing. More details in a message from our Social Committee.

Music parts are available in our Dropbox. Please print your music part and bring it to the first rehearsal.

All those registered to join the ensemble are invited to attend. Missing auditions will be arranged by e-mail or at the party.

Rehearsals
Weekly rehearsals are taking place in the McIntyre Building – unless indicated otherwise.
This year we start rehearsals at 19h sharp and finish at 21:30h (with 20 min pause). We expect to use the space on the 3rd floor of the McIntyre Building. Stage managers, and any member willing to help, please prepare the space for the rehearsal: Bring our stands from I Medici storage room on the 5th floor (we may need  to return them back...). We expect to be able to use the chairs already located on the 3rd floor.

List of rehearsals this season will be distributed one week before the start (by September 16, 2023).
