Moisan-Perrier, Léa  


Artistic Director and founder of Les Voix parallèles de l’École Vincent-d’Indy, Léa Moisan-Perrier approaches choral music with sensitivity, rigour and authenticity. She is also Artistic Director of Chœur des enfants de Montréal. She received a piano degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and continued with a Masters in choral conducting from the Université de Sherbrooke in Longueuil as well as a BA in classical singing from the Université de Montréal.

This promising young artist has received the Moulin Seigneurial Scholarship for 2016 as well as the 2017 Iwan Edwards Award offered from the Montreal Choral Institute in collaboration with St. Lawrence Choir.

In 2016, Léa honed her orchestral conducting skills at the Medomak Conductors Retreat in the United States, under the direction of Kenneth Keisler. She has also attended several masterclasses, most notably with Andrew Megill, Gilles Auger, Jean-Sébastien Vallée and Catherine Simonpietri. In Novembrer 2018, Léa assisted Jacques Lacombe for the production of Barkouf (Offenbach) at the Opéra National du Rhin.

She is Assistant Conductor of I Medici di McGill since 2018/2019 Season.
