Trained as musician, physician and scientist in Zagreb (Croatia), Edinburgh (Scotland) and Washington, DC. (USA). Since ‘76 professor of pharmacology and therapeutics at McGill University. 
Padjen is the Founder (1989) and Director, of I Medici di McGill; Co-Principal violist. He is also member I Medici di McGill String Quartet.  
He was the soloist with Israel Libman (violin) in Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante in November 29, 1994 (6th season).
